Components List
Input: Text/Speech
For the text based version I will be using the computer console
For the speech based version I will be utilizing a microphone sensor.
The sensor will have to be plugged into a breadboard unless I'm able to use a SquareWear and conductive fabric to connect the microphone to the board (unsure if possible).
Output: Text/Speech
To get the robot to type back to me, I will be using the computer console
To get the robot to speak back to me, I will be using a WaveShield.
Other:
Intel Galileo/Edison or Arduino Uno (depend upon how much power I will need)
Fabric
Stuffing:
Will determine any additional materials based on time. Luke's advice was to start with the basics and work from there.
Sketch of Final Project

I'm hoping the end result looks something like this, with added flair based upon how much time remains.
Sketch of Circuitry
The only bit of circuitry I'll really need at this point, is connecting the WaveShield to the controller. I used Adafruit for reference as I've never worked with the WaveShield before.

To attach the microphone, I will use the same setup from the Simple MAX4466 (electret microphone) example.
